Dotto Studio, a Manchester-based design studio, has launched a bunch of new typographic prints for Spring. Designed by artist, designer, and Dotto founder, Dani Molyneux, this vibrant collection are Words to Live By.
Er Ok No and Possibly Maybe are limited edition screen prints. Printed in 4 bright colours, Er Ok No is a celebration of keeping boundaries, with a neon lava lamp vibe. Possibly Maybe is a gloriously clashy pink and red combo. Yes. No. Who knows? Maybe. Or not. I’m not sure. Always open to possibilities, without commitment. Both printed by the awesome Harvey Lloyd Screens .
This year also sees two exclusive print collaborations with RoomFifty and Creative Boom. Eyes Completely Open, released with Room Fifty, is inspired by David Bowie’s Absolute Beginners. “When you hear a tune at the perfect time, it can really speak to you and turn your day around. This one felt like starting afresh, no matter when, and looking at things differently,” explains Dani.
Eyes Will Roll is for the moments that require it. A small act of defiance. Inspired by a pandemic, an ongoing stream of challenging news and events, and a nudge back against a pressure to remain positive at all times. Dani comments; “I have perfected the glorious eye roll with a lifetime of practice. Imagine the tune of Heads Will Roll by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs for full effect”.
