LIBBY Projects + Editions is a creative studio dedicated to Risograph, screen printing, and apparel design. LIBBY operates as a collaborative partner, working closely with artists, designers, and small businesses to bring ideas to life through the power of print and multiples.
The studio was founded by Robert Rusch and Hannah Lin, whose partnership began in the ceramic studio while studying Fine Art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). During this time, Hannah specialised in visual communication and bookmaking, while Robert focused on print media and sculpture. After graduating, the pair moved to Buffalo, NY, where they took on the ambitious project of renovating a house inherited from Robert’s grandfather. Hannah pursued a career in marketing, and Robert gained hands-on experience in commercial apparel printing. In early 2023, they purchased their first Risograph printer—marking the official start of LIBBY Projects + Editions as a creative business.

Collaboration is at the heart of every project the duo work on. Print, especially in the form of multiples, has long been a tool of dissemination, protest, and community building. LIBBY embraces this spirit, using their practice to connect with other artists and their community, and accessibility improve accessibility to the field. Their work extends beyond traditional printing, with projects involving exhibition design, event management, and fabrication of both two, and three, dimensional art objects. By creating engaging, high-quality printed materials and apparel, they aim to challenge traditional ideas of art consumption, making it more inclusive and community-driven rather than purely commercial.

The studio’s speciality lies in custom printing for small businesses and independent artists, for which they use a combination of screen printing and Risograph techniques. Their studio is equipped with: a six-colour manual screen printing press; an exposure unit, washout booth, and conveyor dryer; a single-head M&R large-format press for flatstock up to 36 inches; a Risograph SF5130 printer; and a Paper Guillotine, saddle stitch stapler, and corner rounder.
From concept development to final production, each project is approached by Robert and Hannah with a design-forward mindset, ensuring that materials, techniques, and execution align with the vision of the client and the broader artistic community.

Looking to the future, LIBBY aim to expand their role in the Buffalo arts scene and beyond. These plans include establishing a storefront to create a more accessible public-facing space for meeting clients and hosting events, organising pop-up exhibitions and public art installations, and developing cross-brand collaborations.
