Mike Stark is an American printmaker who works primarily in woodblock and screen printing. Mike graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2016 with a BFA in Printmedia and relocated back to his ancestral homeland of New Jersey shortly after.
In 2017, Pink Line Press was established in Kenilworth, NJ after he purchased his first Charles Brand press. The studio is open to the public for rental, and offers contract printing to fellow artists.
While Mike offers personal classes and private printmaking lessons at Pink Line Press, he also teaches relief and screen printing workshops at Frontline Arts (The Printmaking Center of NJ) and Artworks Trenton. In 2019, he hopes to expand his educational network.
Mike is an assistant press mechanic to Perry Tymeson of Suitcase Press, and works to help restore, repair, and relocate presses all over the United States. At any given time, a printing press can be found being restored at Pink Line Press.
