Wilf Whitty is one of those graphic designers who, sometimes, feels that computer screen holds him prisoner. Whitty, a designer from Bristol, has found a creative outlet to provide an escape after a long day with a clickety-clack keyboard and screen. He uses Letterpress – a process known for producing clean and crisp design – to research, experiment with type and print and to create work not constrained by clients and tight deadlines.
Over the past few years, Whitty has also showcased his work in a number of exhibitions across the UK as part of the Ink-dot Collective. His latest letterpress project entitled Ride & Seek has recently been produced for the inaugural Bristol show by bike art specialists Artcrank. Click here to see his prints up close!
