Kath Bell is an artist and print technician working in the North East of England, where she graduated with a first class honours degree in Fine Art. She mostly works in relief, screen print and cyanotype, often combing a mixture of these processes to create a hybrid print. In her role as a technician Kath gets to show degree & post grad students different print techniques and helps to support them and develop their skills. This opportunity to explore a variety of print techniques feeds into Kath’s own practice. She particularly loves to work with lino, letterpress and screenprinting.
Kath’s work is heavily influenced by natural form, beginning as paintings and sketches before being interpreted into print.
Her work can be found in print fairs and exhibitions in the UK. Kath believes in supporting other printmakers and has some valued printmaker friends who she exhibits with. She has previously exhibited at Leeds Print Fest and will have her work displayed in Newcastle and Durham this summer.
Kath is a featured printmaker with Green Door Printmaking Studio (International Print Exchange) and regularly participates in the Cascade Print Exchange (USA).
