KesselsKramer and The Dutch Museum Association have recently launched a campaign to encourage young people to visit museums. With almost 1.5 million Museum Pass holders, the Dutch Museum Association plays an important role in increasing the accessibility of museums in the Netherlands. In the campaign, KesselsKramer have teamed up with iconic casting director and stylist Ellie Uyttenbroek, celebrated for her Exactitudes series. Her sharp eye for style and diversity plays a crucial role in creating unique combinations between young people and the museum environments that the campaign aims to highlight.
The campaign doesn’t just show that there’s a museum for everyone – it positions the museum as a place where everyone belongs, without filters. KesselsKramer have captured these striking contrasts and parallels through the lens of photographer Zarah Reijs and cinematographer Maxime Desmet, making the campaign as visually captivating as it is culturally relevant.
Presenting striking encounters between a diverse group of young people and works of art, the new campaign positions the museum among a younger target group as a sanctuary for all beliefs. From paintings and sculptures, to architecture and botanical gardens, each artwork or museum environment forms a perfect combination with its visitors of all shapes and sizes. The campaign shows that not only is there a museum for everyone, the museum is there for everyone.
Maartje Slijpen of KesselsKramer states: “Our goal was to find the strongest possible connection between artworks and people, therefore we decided to make the casting process the most important part of the production. With a spectacular result.”
So go and breathe new life, go with an open heart, go and meet your true self or find a new one, go and find closure, but by all means, go as you are!
