Rosie O’Mahony is a 17 year old student who is still in secondary level education at Drumragh Integrated College in Nothern Ireland. We came across her work when she was ‘regrammed’ by celebrity Alexa Chung. She created a portrait etching print of Alexa Chung in a shared workshop which is actually a converted barn. Rosie said “I chose Alexa as the subject because she’s always been an inspiration to me fashion-wise and artistically. I love her illustrations. So I just wanted to give something back – although I had completely no expectation of her even seeing it – never mind sharing it!” With over 22,000 likes and gaining over 600 Instagram followers within a day, what a great piece of exposure for a very young and talented artist / printmaker.
