Comix.one has partnered with HP’s Graphics Solutions Business and its global network of Print Service Providers to relaunch print-on-demand for independent comics, rolling out across the US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia from late 2026. For independent creators, this is a significant development.
The independent comics world has spent years solving a familiar problem: how do you get a printed book into the hands of someone who wants it, without printing thousands of copies and hoping for the best? Print-on-demand has always been the obvious answer, but the quality, reliability and logistics have rarely lived up to the promise.

Comix.one, a platform that already hosts hundreds of independent comic book creators selling and distributing their work digitally to a global audience, has now partnered with HP’s Graphics Solutions Business to change that. The collaboration connects Comix.one directly to HP’s worldwide network of Print Service Providers via the HP Brand Center software and HP Site Flow APIs. The result: a reader finds a digital comic they want, orders a printed copy, and the book is printed, packaged and shipped to them individually. Each order is exclusive to that reader. Nothing is printed before it is needed.
Crucially, the entire workflow is being built directly into the Comix.one dashboard: from pre-press proofing through to sending book orders directly to the partner PSPs. Creators do not need to manage any external print fulfilment. The platform handles it. Creators retain 100% IP of their original characters throughout.

The founder of Comix.one, Saurabh Bhatia, put it plainly: “As a lifelong fan of comic books and now independent ones, we love the feeling of holding a physical book in our hands. Thanks to this collaboration with HP, we intend to bring stability, scalability, reliability and great customer experience to our creators and readers.”
The platform already has a crowdfunding tool built specifically for comic creators with built-in digital fulfilment and a social platform in development. Print-on-demand is the third leg of an infrastructure designed to let independent creators operate without the traditional gatekeepers of the comics industry.

Why this matters
The obvious headline is convenience. The more interesting thing is the end-to-end integration. Comix.one is not building a print business on the side. It is embedding the full print process flow, prepress to fulfilment, directly into a platform that already has the readers and the creators. That is a meaningful difference from pointing creators toward a third-party POD service and leaving them to manage it.
For an independent creator whose audience is spread across five countries, this matters enormously. A reader who missed the original crowdfunding run of a book can now simply order a printed copy directly through the platform. The phased rollout starts with the US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia, with broader global availability to follow.
The bigger picture is one that anyone paying attention to print knows well: the economics of short-run and on-demand printing have shifted significantly, and platforms that can sit between creators and that infrastructure are increasingly valuable. HP’s involvement brings the scale and the PSP network. Comix.one brings the audience and the creator relationships. The combination is worth watching.
