Katie Treggiden launched her award-winning design blog, Confessions of a Design Geek in 2010 to discover, champion and inspire new designers. It has been listed as a top worldwide design blog by Cision, Dwell US, Elle Décor Italia and The Sunday Times. In 2014, she launched Fiera, the independent magazine discovering new talent at the world’s design fairs. It was nominated for Magpile’s Best New Magazine within just three weeks of launch. As well as editing her own titles, she also writes for many well known media channels, including The Guardian Magazine, Elle Decoration, The Telegraph Magazine, Dezeen, Design Milk and others. We took a look at a couple of her recent projects, Makers of East London and Fiera Magazine Issue 02.
We are very excited about the release of her new book, MAKERS OF EAST LONDON, which will be published on 17th September 2015 by the awesome Hoxton Mini Press. The book will feature a foreword by Annie Warburton of the Crafts Council and glorious photographs by Charlotte Schreiber. The book focuses on East London as a hotbed of makers and the place which demonstrates a resurgence of craftspeople, by taking an intimate look inside their studios and the people behind this quiet revolution.

Another of Katie’s recent projects, working alongside creative director Jeremy Leslie, is the fantastic Fiera Magazine Issue 02. This publication, which is following on from a sell-out first issue is the biannual independent print magazine discovering new talent at the worlds design fairs. This issue covers Northmodern Copenhagen, the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Ambiente Frankfurt, and much more.
