Stay Lucky Club is an outlet for illustrator and printmaker Vicky Newman to create prints and products that she loves away from her commercial practice.
Despite not being particularly superstitious, Vicky has always had a fascination for imagery associated with luck and fortune, and so hence the name she works under: Stay Lucky Club. Luck and fortune elements often seep into her designs and she has created everything from her own playing cards to poker chips!
Vicky studied Illustration at Falmouth, thus has a real love for drawing and the ocean. After a stint in London working in house for a number of design firms, she and her husband and little girl moved back to the sea and wilderness to a remote part of the Scottish Highlands called Knoydart (only accessible by boat and cut off from the mainland by mountains from any roads!) where they are currently building their own house and studio space looking out over the islands of Eigg and Rùm.
Vicky works with a mix of media, everything from Risograph and screen printing, to linocut and laser cutting, and loves experimenting with different tools.
