Keep Kemistry Alive!

posted by Anna Chayasatit November 6, 2014

For over a decade, East London’s Kemistry Gallery has served as a creative hub and exhibition space for international art and design talents, both young and professional alike. But the gallery has recently announced that it is now facing permanent closure following the impending redevelopment of its current home. But rather than admit defeat, Kemistry Gallery has decided to move on to the next step and is hoping to reestablish itself as “the UK’s first centre dedicated solely to graphic art and design”. But without your support, this couldn’t be happening.

The gallery is likely to be closed within a short period of three months. With your pledge, the gallery will be able to pilot a new version of the gallery and host a special pop-up exhibition entitled ‘Kemistry Gallery: 10 years 60 works’ which is due to open its doors in February 2015. Not only will the exhibition include the very best of works created by graphic design champions including Saul Bass, Milton Glaser, Parra, Jean Jullien, Anthony Burrill, it will also mark Kemistry Gallery’s tenth anniversary and celebrate a decade of outstanding design exhibitions and its existence as a cultural space.
