DEPARTMENT STORE

posted by Marcroy February 28, 2014

We are ecstatic to announce the launch of our DEPARTMENT STORE. A brand new place for selected creatives to sell their products with an affordable monthly license fee and a very reasonable commission rate on sales. We hope to change the face of retail for creatives, by offering an economical solution alongside an effective shopfront to display their products to our international audience.

We launch with five very talented vendors. If you would like to be considered as a vendor, please email codylee@peopleofprint.com with some examples of your products and prices.

Bridge Unltd
BRIDGE_UNLTD is a partnership formed by Jim O’Raw and Jamie Leith. The brand was established in April 2013. They design and print garments in limited batches and specialise in discharge printing. Between them they have an extensive visual library which they draw their inspirations from, as well as share through Instagram, which has been a key process to their success so far.

Patrick Savile
Patrick Savile is an image maker based in London, whose work is mainly for musicians, designing record sleeves and branding and has recently started designing book covers for Kindle. He used to be a super professional screen printer; so much of his work contains texture and hand-worn elements, and has many of those little imperfections that hand made work can only produce. Despite mainly creating digital work, it always starts off with pencil drawings, and uses scanned airbrush textures. Much of his personal work is influenced by old sci-fi and comic books, and he is currently writing and drawing his own zine series. He spends most of his time listening to psyche records and playing brilliant music on his radio show on Resonance 104.4FM. Selected clients include Kindle, Nickelodeon, Sonic Router and Tate.

Saskia Pomeroy
London-based Saskia Pomeroy is a multidisciplinary artist working with print, drawing, painting, sculpture and textile. Her work is bright and colourful, exploring the relationships within compositions of colour, texture and shapes. Her time as a screen printer has directly informed her printing style, she frequently uses contrasting ink finishes, colour overlays and technical detail which adds an additional dimension to her print work. This is also true of her painting work although more illustrative. Saskia’s work is an abstraction of real forms and themes such as nature, ancient art, glyphs and symbols.
