The space at No.43 Inverness Street is now dedicated to the incredible limited-edition hand-printed cyanotypes created by artist and photographer Elisabeth Scheder-Bieschin. The prints on display are a hybrid of both early and modern photographic techniques, celebrating the natural beauty that is often overlooked. Scheder-Bieschin has also produced a series of limited edition prints for independent publishing house Silver Jungle. Her work will be available for purchase on the website after the show ends from the 1st November 2015.
The sight of Scheder-Bieschins cyanoprints evokes nostalgic memories of childhood summers: a feather, a butterfly wing, the windborne seeds of dandelion. They embrace simplicity and radiate an air of serenity. The show ends this Saturday (31st) so now is your last chance to see how Scheder-Bieschin created all of these amazing prints without using a camera.
