Sebastian König is an Art Director, Designer and Illustrator from Hamburg. He has two main stylistic passions as he enjoys creating minimalistic typographic design as well as colourful and edgy illustration work. Sebastian’s artworks are defined by a rough papercut-like vector style, grainy textures and well picked colour compositions. He also works with papercuts made from cardboard and paper that benefit from the sensual and tangible feel of real materials.

Sebastian’s career in print began in a publishing house where he worked on editorial art direction and design. His design work always has a strong focus on spot colours, screen printing and nice materials. He is currently working on commissioned illustration pieces for print media and agencies, as well as personal projects. One of his more recent publications is a riso printed zine called “Cars” which features 14 strips of simplistic yet quirky illustrations which create mini individual narratives.
