Kelley Michelucci grew up on the San Francisco Peninsula. Her love for travel has taken her to a variety of areas including the Colombia River Gorge in Washington State, Sonoma, and as far as both Finland, and China. She now resides in Truckee, California which has been her families second home since she was young. From here, she creates her mesmerising intaglio and linocut prints that offer a whimsical interpretation of the places she has visited.

Kelley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sonoma State University, with a major in Fine Arts and a minor in Environmental Studies. She took her first printmaking class during her freshman year, not knowing what to expect. She instantly fell in love with this ancient art form, and continues to learn and expand as a printmaker today. Some of her stand-out projects so far have included the creation of whimsical characters set in her own interpretations of places including Lake Tahoe and Alaska, which she prints on her small etching press.

To date, Kelley’s work has been displayed in Juried Shows including, Sonoma State University, the Columbia Center for the Arts in Oregon, City Art Gallery in San Francisco and featured in Truckee’s Moonshine Inc local magazine. Her prints have also been privately featured at San Francisco’s Charles Schwab, and San Francisco’s Clarion Performing Arts Center. She has also published two children’s books, Ziggy Finds Her Light and Ziggy Shines the Brightest Star. Currently, she is a regular artist at the North Tahoe Arts Center in Tahoe City and Kings Beach.
As an artist, she is looking forward to creating more etchings, linocuts, participating in local art shows, and making more children’s books in the future.
