Phillip Whitton is a Norwich based artist originally from Cambridge. Music and skateboarding are his main sources of inspiration. As a kid he used to love skateboard graphics and album covers, so he would spend a lot of time drawing his own or copying from existing ones.

Philip studied fine art before starting to work as an illustrator. He used to make oil paintings and studied a more technical approach to painting but he soon realised it wasn’t fun or loose enough so decided to move towards illustration as he felt it was far more fulfilling.

He went to Norwich to study illustration and learned to animate on the side. His work is now by music, skateboarding, surrealism, the internet and dreams.
