Paper Wants to Meet You: The Independent Paper Show Comes to Manchester

posted by POP Members May 11, 2026
For its tenth edition, the Independent Paper Show moves north for the first time, landing at Soho House Manchester on June 9 and 10, 2026, with the industry’s most important paper producers, suppliers and makers under one roof. Tickets are free.

There is something fitting about the Independent Paper Show arriving in Manchester for its tenth edition. A city with deep roots in printing, publishing and graphic arts, Manchester has always understood that what you print on matters as much as what you print. Now, for the first time in the show’s history, it leaves London and heads north, and it does so in considerable style.

The venue is Soho House Manchester, housed in the former Granada TV Studios in St John’s, which only opened its doors in November 2025. It is one of the most distinctive creative spaces to open in the UK in recent years, and it gives the Independent Paper Show exactly the kind of backdrop the event deserves: tactile, considered, a building where history and new ideas sit comfortably alongside each other.

The show runs across two days. June 9th opens at 2pm and runs until 7pm, with networking drinks from 4pm. June 10th runs from 12pm to 5pm. Entry is free, but tickets are required. Register at the link to receive your QR code.

The exhibitor list reads like a who’s who of the paper and print supply world. Antalis, Avery Dennison, Fedrigoni, Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives, Fenner, GF Smith, Premier Paper, Sonderegger and Winter & Co will all be present, alongside host Foilco. Paper collections on show include Arena, Colorplan, Coloursource, Conqueror, Fasson, Gmund, Manter, Materica, Nautilus, Ritrama, rOxford, rSiena, Rydal, Satin Ocean, Sirio, The Curious Collection, Vanguard, Wibalin, Winlay and more, a genuinely comprehensive survey of where paper is right now and where it is heading.

The event is brought to you by Foilco in collaboration with Sonderegger, two names that understand better than most what it means to push the material possibilities of print. Foilco, the Warrington-based foil specialists established in 1987, has been bringing the creative community together through events like Multiplicity for years. The Independent Paper Show is a natural extension of that instinct, a space where the people who make print possible can meet the designers, publishers and makers who depend on what they produce.

“The Independent Paper Show is exactly the kind of event our community should be at,” says Marcroy, Founding Director of People of Print. “Paper is not a passive material. It is a creative decision, a tactile experience, a statement about how you want your work to feel in someone’s hands. Having the people who make and supply those materials in one room, and making that room free to enter, is a genuinely generous thing. We’ll be there.”

Guest speakers will be confirmed shortly. Watch the POP events calendar and our social channels for updates as they land.

Tickets are free and open to all. Register here to secure your place and receive your QR code for entry: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/foilco/2145584
