We are proud to have Hahnemühle as a verified member of the People of Print community, a name synonymous with craftsmanship, archival excellence, and centuries of papermaking heritage. Founded in 1584, Hahnemühle has become one of the most respected paper manufacturers in the world, trusted by artists, photographers, printmakers, and cultural institutions for its beautifully engineered fine art papers.
One of Hahnemühle’s most recent collaborations brings their long-standing dedication to craft into conversation with architecture, imagination, and education through The Wonder Hub at Norwich University of the Arts (NUA).

Introducing The Wonder Hub
Designed by legendary architect Sir Peter Cook and the Peter Cook Studio, The Wonder Hub is a new creative installation on campus, a space built to encourage exploration, curiosity, and playful experimentation in design.
Sir Peter Cook, a visionary and pioneer whose work reshaped architectural thinking, has spent decades championing imagination as a tool for real-world making. The Wonder Hub continues that legacy, offering students a place to test ideas, draw connections, and expand the boundaries of what architecture can be.
“A space for imagination to take form.”

Where Craft Meets Concept
Every print featured in The Wonder Hub installation was produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag®, a paper selected by Sir Peter Cook himself. Known for its matte, velvety surface and exceptional colour stability, Photo Rag® has become a favourite among artists for its ability to translate fine detail, tonal depth and expressive mark-making.
Sir Peter Cook’s decision was not just technical; it was personal. He has long used Hahnemühle papers for both sketch development and final artwork, valuing the tactile quality and consistency that allows complex architectural ideas to take physical shape.

A Growing Relationship
NUA and Hahnemühle share more than just a project. Students across the university regularly use Hahnemühle papers in printmaking, illustration, photography and portfolio development, with local stockists ensuring easy access to professional-grade materials.
This connection reinforces one of Hahnemühle’s key values: supporting emerging artists at the early stages of their creative careers, not only master practitioners. The collaboration between Sir Peter Cook, NUA and Hahnemühle demonstrates the role high-quality materials play in shaping creative thinking. When paper isn’t just a substrate, but a partner in the process, ideas have room to expand.
