Andy MacDougall has been teaching and promoting screenprinting for 25 years. He has written a couple of books (Screenprinting Today, the Basics, and helped publish A History of Screenprinting) plus tons of articles and podcasts in Screenprinting Magazine.

His current project is Screen The World, which was accelerated during COVID when live instruction was shut down. The programme is an online training resource that not only includes plans and video instruction on how to build a Rabbit Vacuum table, a T-Rex t-shirt jig, an exposing frame and a back lit washout booth, but step by step instructions on how to set up and use all the equipment, and lists of useful items for your studio.

Screen The World is a 10 week instruction course suitable for both teachers or individuals, taking you through the 8 steps of screenprinting, with exercises to gradually add skills and trouble shooting. The package also includes useful tools for calculating exposures, and even a tutorial on using the sun as your exposing lamp, along with posts from successful students. Screen The World is there to make it easier to be successful, and includes tips and ideas on how to make things that can turn into merch and money.
