The ‘Oh the Horror’ linocut print set was made especially for this year’s Pick Me Up exhibition at Somerset House inspired by The Shining, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween; “the unholy trinity of horror movies.” Each print has been developed from an initial set of illustrations based on objects and signifiers from over twenty classic horror movies. ??The set compromises of three single colour hand-burnished prints from an open run, printed on specialist Ho Sho Japanese printing paper measuring approximately 130mm x 270mm with Caligo oil-based Rubine Red inks. A small initialed signature can be found at the base of each object. Very nice indeed.
