On November 12th 2019, an exceptionally high tide flooded the city of Venice. Cronache da una città sommersa is a project created by a group of friends and colleagues who are working together to support Official POP Members, Fallani Venezia Serigraphy, whose historical studio was seriously damaged by the floods. The flooding destroyed a large amount of machinery and materials which, over the years, had allowed them to bring the works of numerous artists and illustrators who attended the printing house to life.
The project involves a group of artists, both old and new acquaintances of the studio, each of whom have designed an artwork related to the city of Venice. Bruno Bozzetto, Ale Giorgini, Riccardo Guasco, Franco Matticchio, Andy Rementer, Jacopo Rosati, Guido Scarabottolo, Lucio Schiavon and Olimpia Zagnoli have kindly donated one of their illustrations to the studio to allow Gianpaolo, director and leader of this craft laboratory, not only to restart his business with new pressings, but also to replace the broken machinery.Graphics can be pre-ordered here. There is a signed and numbered, limited edition of 50 prints that can be bought either separately or as a collection.
