Love is The Best Compass is the latest limited edition print release from illustrator and artist Caroline Tomlinson. The A5 size, two colour screen print is inspired by Caroline’s own journey and the lessons she has learnt along the way. “I’ve had chapters in my life where I’ve been in the wrong place, both geographically and emotionally. I’ve been saved/anchored/redirected by following love,” says the artist.
This edition acts as a little reminder that love is the best way to find your true way towards home, and finding your place in the world. Caroline states; “Now with the benefit of both hindsight, and being a little older, I listen more to how situations and others make me feel. And although I’m a big fan of Valentine’s Day, I do enjoy the idea that we should we all feel more of the good stuff every day. And if we use it to light our way forward, let love lead us, I believe it will take us to our place in the world, wherever that might be.”
This is Caroline’s first edition of the year, and it felt right for her to start the year by spreading positivity with this message. Love is The Best Compass is a continuation of last years body of work which was focused on the notion of belonging.
